Sports Performance trainer
Tim Galley is a Certified Personal Trainer (CPT) through the International Sports Sciences Association (ISSA) and a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) through the American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM). He has experience coaching collegiate, high school and younger levels of athletes. He also has experience in training general populations in corrective exercise and movement. This blend of experience across multiple populations has given him the ability and insight to help guide both healthy and injured athletes and adults. He joined the Excelsior Orthopedics team in 2022 where he currently works with our Sports Performance and Durable Medical Equipment teams.
After graduating from the University of Mount Union (B.S. Exercise Science) he worked in several sports performance facilities in the Canton and Cleveland, Ohio areas, where he had the chance to coach multiple high level high school and college athletes. He also interned at Cleveland Clinic and other small physical therapy practices in Northeast Ohio, where he had the chance work alongside recovering adults, athletes and other special populations. In 2020, he returned to Buffalo where he worked at ECMC for two years as an orthotic technician and worked as an independent sports performance coach and personal trainer. Tim has also been the assistant coach for the Niagara Jr. Purple Eagles 16u AA hockey team for two seasons prior to joining the Excelsior team.
Tim believes that exercise and a healthy lifestyle are important to every individual no matter the circumstances of the individual. His experience with multiple special populations has given him the tools to help provide a coordinated plan to help each client based on their specific needs to reach their goals as efficiently as possible. Outside of Excelsior, Tim can be found playing multiple adult rec leagues like soccer, hockey and lacrosse. He also enjoys spending time with his family, their two dogs and cheering on the Bills, Sabres and Bandits.
